Mr. John Unyong Moon has over 23 years of experience working in the Department of Energy program management,
operation, and safety. Mr. Moon is currently with the Department of Energy Environmental Management and was the Office Director for the Office of Small Site Completion and was recently promoted to Senior Site Program Manager.

As the Office Director for the Office Small Site Completion, Mr. Moon was responsible for effectively implementing EM responsibilities, obligations, and activities at EM-funded operations at NNSA, Science, and Naval sites such as Los Alamos, Sandia, West Valley, Moab, SPRU, etc. In his role, he was responsible for all aspects of operation ranging from $5M to $3B in total cost. Mr. Moon was recently elevated to be the new Senior Site Program Manager to oversee the DOE Savannah River Site from DOE headquarters which has an annual budget of $1.3B. 

Mr. Moon is also the elected President of the Department of Energy Asian American Pacific Islander Network affinity group. He is on the Board of Directors for AAGEN and is the current Chair of the 2012 Leadership Conference and Banquet.

Mr. Moon holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering and an MBA. He is currently the DOE EM-certified Senior Technical Safety Manager and OECM-certified Federal Project Director.
